Gerald “Jerry” William Lee, of Indianapolis, was born July 31, 1932 to William D Lee and Laverne S (Somers) Lee in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He lived in the Chicago area most of his life, and died July 6, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joan (Richard) Etzler; brother-in-law, Robert Hazlett; nephews, Gordon Etzler and Don Brack; and great niece, Corrie Etzler. Survivors include his sister, Delores Hazlett; nieces and nephews, Bruce (Jenny) Etzler, Carol (Robert) Matthews, Gary (Peggy) Hazlett, Andra Brack, and Erin (Jeff) Archer; great nieces and nephews, Peter, Ryan and Michael Matthews, Katie and Paul Hazlett, Robert, Miriam, Leah, and Jonathon Brack, and Joshua, Avery, and Abigail Archer; and 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
Jerry lived in the Chicago area most of his life and worked as a printer for the Chicago Sun Times, a deli owner and a bus driver and security guard at Lincoln High School. He was a regular member for many years at Downer’s Grove Sportman’s Club, where he is survived by many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 7900 Allisonville Road. Preferred memorials are to the Missions fund at Grace Presbyterian Church.
